Kongai contains the ability to play "Ranked Games" which uses matchmaking to connect you with someone of a similar Skill Rank (different from Level). Similar as in there seems to be a restriction to a 15 Skill Level difference else the game won't match you. The Skill Ranks range from 1 to 50 and are determined by the number of Skill Rank points you have acquired. You gain more by defeating a higher ranked opponent, and lose more by being defeated by a lower ranked opponent. This is seen to be a better measure of skill than "Levels" as it takes into account your win/loss ratio as well as the skill of the people you have been winning and losing against. The skill ranks and point values of each are based off of the Halo ranking system.

You begin at Skill Rank 1 with 1 XP.

Levels & Skill Ranks[]

You level up in Kongai by accumulating wins in multiplayer matches; sorry, practice matches don't count as Kong-Bot is not the brightest bulb. There are 50 levels, and each level is progressively harder to achieve.

The skill level system in Kongai ranges from level 1 to level 50, and players can only rise in level by defeating opponents in ranked matches. Losing matches, however, will cause a player's level to decrease. Your skill level in Kongai is basically just a simplified number representing the number of "rank points" you have.

Defeating someone equal to your skill level will yield 100 rank points, defeating someone 10 levels higher yields 144 rank points, and beating someone 10 levels below you will only gain you 56 points. Losses to those same opponents would lose you 100 points, 56 points, and 144 points, respectively.

However, if you are skill level 28 or lower, the penalty for losses will be softened. You'll only lose 10% of normal at level 5, 50% of normal at level 10, 77.5% at level 20, and so on. Once you reach level 29, you'll lose the full number of rank points with each loss.

On the flip side, if you're super awesome and reach level 42, a similar system kicks in to penalize your wins. You'll only win 95% of the normal rank points at level 42, 80% at 45, and 55% at level 49.

For example, if Yourmomlikedit at SR 31 loses a match against MLMonHig at SR 26, the difference in ranks is 5, and 116 rank points are transferred from Yourmomlikedit to MLMonHig. Yourmomlikedit should have performed better against his inferior and is punished for that.
